fully organized and is operated by the Indian government under the Ministry of the Railways.
There are a lot of vacancies arising from the Central Railways, every year. Those vacancies
are filled by direct recruitment and the competitive examinations. The railway recruitment is divided
as gazette, non gazette posts. The gazette posts are divided in group A and B. The non
gazette are Group C and D. the Group A posts are appointed through the civil service exam,
combined medical service examination and the Engineering service exam.

They are taken by the Group C employees for upgrading their posts. Those who are selected
through the Group B vacancies would be posted as Section Officers. Group C is for the technical
and the non technical cadre like station master, ticket collector, clerk, traffic apprentice,
commercial apprentice and for engineering posts. The central railway jobs for engineers
are numerous. Civil, mechanical, signal and telecommunication and electrical engineers
are picked more commonly than the other disciples. The group D includes trackman, assistant points
man, ganman, peon, safaiwala and helper. Not just for engineers, there are vacancies available
for almost any degree and even for high school education.
The Indian railway recruitment board is divided into 17 zones and is subdivided into many

a particular division would be recruited by the same. After selection the candidate may

minimum marks required and other criteria changes from one position to another. The

reserve the rights to change the structure of the recruitment process as it pleases.

through any form other than the application fee that is mentioned in the job advertisement.
The money has to be taken as a demand draft only. The application format changes between
the groups. The candidates should apply as per the application norms and the photo should

railways. The vacancies are notified only in the employment
